LIBRARY ART SWAPS

– View the schedule below or print it HERE

Every month, we partner with Pikes Peak Library to host a community Art SWAP. You bring in your old arts and craft supplies and swap for “new” ones. Bring the family, and hang out with us while new items pile. Bring a book, do a free craft, or meet new friends. Each month we are at a different library.

1) Bring your new/gently used crafting items that you want to purge.

2) We weigh them in & you will receive 1 ticket per pound.

3) Use your tickets to buy other crafting supplies at the SWAP for 1 ticket per pound.
Tickets from previous SWAPS can also be used.

4) Enjoy a FREE craft project too!

No registration required, free, just show up!

NOTE: Tickets cannot be used at the retail shop. SWAP events do not accept magazines or books, construction/architectural waste, fabric samples, food containers, office supplies, clothing items. We accept a lot more items at our shop. Please only bring in crafting supplies and not items that are considered trash, in bad condition, or items that can be recycled.

About The Art SWAP Organization

Art SWAP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This organization was created to provide educational programming and affordable materials within our urban and rural communities; to build partnerships and creatively collaborate with organizations who promote arts in education and to inspire creative reuse and responsible and sustainable practices through reuse, re-purposing and up-cycling.

Art SWAP supports a broad range of social impact and social enterprise businesses and organizations in the nonprofit and for profit sector. Our organization has quickly evolved in response for the need to support entrepreneurs and start up businesses in the arts industry.

The stories and passions of local artisans, musicians, and those in the performing arts continue to inspire us to provide a symbiotic safety net for all art activities in the community. Art SWAP focuses its efforts on giving all a chance to explore new ideas. Social impact businesses can inspire others to strive for a higher purpose to merge mission and margin, purpose and profit. Art SWAP seeks to create social and environmental impacts and reshape the arts economy. This model offers small businesses and organizations to actively engage in creating value that goes beyond the bottom line.

Art SWAP is an equal opportunity employer. Art SWAP prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy gender, identity and sexual orientation), age, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
