Miniature Creations

Saturday, March 9th, 1pm-3pm

Class Description: Make 3 green plants. Three house plants will be completed, caladium, dieffenbachia, and fern.  Some leaves will be glued already to ensure they are good and dry. Finishing touches will be added in class, such as painting, twisting, clipping and cutting. Many more plants can be made with the techniques and ideas learned. Mary is a professional miniaturist who has knowledge that will blow you away. Use the skills you learn today on all types of miniatures: dollhouses, dioramas, Warhammer, model trains, or anything smaller than life.

Supplies Included: Glue, regular scissors; bring cuticle scissors with curved blade if you have one (would be nice but not necessary), pencil, small paint brush.

Ages: Ages 12-14 (parent required), 14+ (no parent needed)

Location: Meet us in the “Who Gives a Scrap” Classroom. Turn left when you enter the front door and head to the back of the Sales Floor.

Instructor: Mary Banner has made miniatures for over 30 years.  She works in 1/12, ½ and ¼ scales. She likes to repurpose items or create her own pieces for her miniature projects. Volunteering at “Who Gives a Scrap” is a good fit.
